You are such a LITTLE GIRL now.  Not my baby - so sadly sweet for me.  You have been in Kindergarten for a few months now and you just love to learn.  Your teacher, your afterschool care lady - in fact everyone exclaim about your sweetness and helpfulness and eagerness and all the other nesses.  It is really cute to see you and your sister interact more.  You actually play together now.  While this often results in a battle of wills it is just as often a load of giggles that is so cute.  You pretend play together and sometimes i cringe when i hear what i am assuming is your "mommy" voice - hopefully i don't really sound like that - yeeks.  You still have such a sweet little girl accent that drops the r and h's most of the time.  Yesterday you brough home a SOAR award from school for being respectful.  You just love it. 

Amelia almost three

This picture sums you up!  You are so funny Amelia.  That devilish sparkle in your eye when you push every single button I have.  Everything is a mile a minute and no holds bar.  That hat - you are like your mommy and you love silly hats.  I can't remember the last time you were clean.  Probably right after your daddy gave you a bath but gone in the next hour.  You want to do everything your sister does.  Trying to temper your enthusiasm is always a mistake and never accomplished without alot of yelling and tears.  Your most favorite thing to do now is sing "Trick or treat, smell my feet give me something good to eat"  You absolutely adore the line about pulling down your underwear.  This morning you woke up so cheerful.  Asking me "how did you sleep mommy?"  You are in preschool now - which has been an adjustment for you.  All your teachers love you.  The other day I came to pick you up and the teacher explained that you had to go first in show in tell because you needed your care bears.  You are so intense that people just bend to your overpowering will.  I love you sweetie.

Look who came to town!  Denis Colin McLeavy.  Love that little cutie.  Sweet mama and baby boy.

Long time no post

We are kind of ready for Spring around here.  Getting a little cabin fever.  Hoping for warm weather and blue skies and something besides brown.  Amelia is a little comedian - a daredevil, button pushing comedian.  This one loves to sing and dance.  Pretty cute kid.  She likes to talk in a lisp or put her tounge between her teeth when she says things - crinkling her nose.  Adrienne is pretty amazing too.  She has to have glasses now - which is a most likely a forgone conclusion for both of those girls.  She things that long underwear is "big panties" and loves to go to school.  She will be starting soccer this week.

We had a great mini break at the end of March with the Coleman's - Those kids played and played.  Amelia seems to be the boss of everyone.  She is a little bully - even shoving poor sweet Graham into a trash pile when he yelled at her.  I am not terribly worried about her sticking up for herself - goodness!

Thanksgiving 2012

 

 

We spent Thanksgiving in Great Falls with Grandma and Auntie Grandma Helen.  Mike and Andrea came up and we got to hang out and relax for a wonderful Thanksgiving.  The girls had a wonderful time playing piano and watering plants and having cookies and playing in Helen's "office"  Adrienne especially enjoyed the office and would disappear downstairs to "work" for long periods of time.  Lots of writing and drawing and being busy.  After Thanksgiving Mama celebrated her birthday and got lots of surprise parties.  It was so cute.  Adrienne and Amelia kept telling me to go hide so they could surprise me.  I was surprised many many times.
