Two Months

Amelia is two months old.  She is growing like a weed!  95 percentile for both weight and height.  My little lady is TALL!  She seems so old already - time certainly flies.  I keep trying to get a picture of her sweet little smile but haven't been able to quite get it yet.  There are lots of coos happening right now too - very sweet.  Her favorite thing is to watch her silly sister do her thing.  Adrienne has lots of "things" right now.  She is a very excellent singer with wide and varied renditions of "twinkle twinkle", "rock a bye baby" and "this old man."  Adrienne has also fallen in love with the moon.  Every morning she wonders where it is and is a little annoyed if the clouds are blocking its view.  We also have to look for it on the way home from daycare - if we don't see it Adrienne tells me "Daddy can find it"  Daddy is a very good moon finder and always shows Adrienne where it is.  The other thing that I think is pretty cute on Adrienne's part is her commentary on waking up from her nap.  She invariably tells me how much she misses Daddy right when she wakes up.  "I miss Daddy - he working"  So sweet!

Adrienne 2 1/2 years Amelia 1 month

So apparently things get even busier with two kiddos!  Go figure.  Amelia is so similar to Adrienne and yet so different!  She is a little more vocal than adrienne was but both have such sweet personalities.  Amelia is starting to smile and it seems like she is already to take on the world.  She tenses up her belly to try and sit up and roll over.  (please wait a little while sweetie)  She is starting to smile and loves to be cuddled.  Adrienne continues to do such new and interesting things.  Everyday I think to myself - where did she pick that up?!  My favorite thing about Adrienne is how excited she gets about everything - "Oh Boy"  when you explain where we are going or what we will do.  "Yummy!!!"  when she really likes what she is eating - which in most cases yummy is saved for pasta, cheese and chocolate!

Amelia - your favorite thing is still to nurse - you really like eating.  Adrienne you love to Play - "play with me"  "Play me"  - your favorite games are "tea party" and "nap time."  Somehow I always get to play tea party while Daddy gets put to bed for nap time (in which he has to close his eyes and not move - sucks to be him!)

New Baby, Halloween and other Fall events

The last couple of weeks have sure been busy and fun filled.  First, Amelia came join our family.  She sure did arrive with a bang too!  Then we had visits from Grandma and Auntie Andrea.  Amelia met all of her Helena family too!  Next we had to get ready for Halloween which involved many things - lots of raking, pumpkin drawing candy sorting, trick or treating and art projects.  Adrienne sure does love Halloween.  It took her a while to warm up to some things (like giving candy away), but once she did she really got into it.  She did not warm up to giving candy to kids in scary costumes though.  That was a little too much.  She loved being Dora and loved seeing all the other folks dressed up.  Amelia spent her time eating and pooping.  She is good at that!  She is learning to focus a lot more and when her eyes aren't crossed she seems to be taking alot in!

Here she is!

She made it.  Has a good birthday to - 10/20/2010!  Born at 2:50 am 7lbs and 4 ounces.  She came really quick and was only 2 days overdue.  Her sister thinks she is pretty neat!

Adventurer

Going on walks with you has become quite the adventure. It can be very fun and sometimes very frustrating. As long as I remind myself before the walk to go at your pace things go pretty ok. Until you become fixated with bird poop or every leaf along the sidewalk. The cutest thing about walking in our neighborhood with you is your fixation with the historic home signs. You talk to them, wave at them and finally give them kisses (not sure what is going on here but it is pretty fun to watch!)

Cooking and Singing and more Playing

Adrienne is a very busy little girl.  She continues to add more and more words to her vocababulary.  Her three favorite things to do are sing and dance to her cd, cook with mommy or daddy and play dress up.  We have quite the entertainer on our hands.  Adrienne loves the wig and dress up set Becky and Amy got her for her birthday.  I love taking pictures of her loving it.
